Great Site! I only lived in Dhahran from 80-83 and left before graduation. Once I left I lost contact with everyone so would love to hear from people. I was saddened to hear of the passing of Susie Saba and John Tichy. If anyone has information concerning their deaths I would appreciate it.

Happy Holidays! I would love to hear from brats that knew me or my brother, Alan Hastings, when we were in Saudi '76 - '84. I just got my Tandem Instructor rating, which, for most of you who don't know, is a special instructional rating in skydiving that lets me CARRY PASSENGERS on a skydive! Well I guess it was inevitable that this site would sprout up. Born
8/2/51, I was in Saudi for a good deal of the 1950's...not exactly
state of the art living conditions. Great childhood joy catching
lizards/skinks and Monarch butterflies...flipping over moving crates
and stomping scorpions with flip-flop shod feet...had to get them from
behind so that nasty stinger wouldn't hook up and over...I recall the
sky at night...the moon so large you felt that you could jump up and
tap it...my father was John Bentley Harrison, Aramco
employee...negotiated right of ways in dialectic Arabic with the local
luminaries among other things. Mr. Crocker's book will certainly be an

Well, this is a more sober and depressing check in than I would

Last Sunday, my boyfriend Austin Schaefers, shot himself. He died
Monday the 19. We were having problems, and I had brought up the topic
of breaking up. He grew upset and in the note it said that he had been
thinking about it for some time. It came out of the blue, and was a
horrible shock to us all. I loved him very much, and it is a horrible
thing that has happened. And it does happen. I know. So please, if
you hear anyone ever say anything about killing themselves, or that
they don't want to live, please do something. I know, all of you have
heard this so many times, and people say it and think it all the time
and don't mean it. But sometimes they do. It's an awful thing to go
through, for anyone who loves the person who commits suicide. And if

I was born in Dhahran in May 1955 to Andrew and Goldie Joyce. My sister,
Catherine, was born there in May 1952.

A hello to everyone! It is great to see so many familiar names. I would
love to hear from anyone who remembers me. My dad just recently retired
in Dc of this past year. I think it came at a good time, with more and
more of the 'old timers' leaving. It is unfortunate that so many of us

Hey Yall!!!!
I have a distinct feeling that some folks out there are not too happy
with me... all I can say is that I am eternally SORRY for missing the
Austin Reunion over 4th of July weekend. I was out of town... I
SWEAR!! FORGIVE ME!!!!
Anyway, for all of you who knew my father (Daniel Nagata) he has
recently retired at the ripe old age of 59. He is now residing in
Round Rock, TX. (WITH MY SISTER!!!! HAHAHAHA) As for my mom (Janis),
she remarried and has moved back to Abqaiq. (If it ain't one...it's
the other!) My sister (Marlena Nagata DH90) is doing well... if you
remember her.... you can drop her a line @ Lena23@aol.com!
Last but not least... I will fill ya'll in on my life! I have recently
gone back to college to get my degree in CIS... so far so good... only
one more year to go! Also, my daughter (Breanna Ambabo) just turned
three a few months ago... SHE IS A WILD CHILD! Anyway, you can see some

Sands yearbook, talk about some memories. I'm so lucky to have been
able to experience growing up in Saudi Arabia and to have known such

hey everyone.
I just stumbled onto this website and figured I should probably sign
the guestbook. I want to see if I can find any of my classmates that I
haven't seen or talked to in 10 years. I moved to the United States
from DHAHRAN in 1989 when I was 9 years old so I never actually made it
to the Junior High School. I would've graduated in '95 I believe. If
there is anyone out there that went to Dhahran Hills School, was in the
fourth grade in 1990, and remembers who I am (I suggest you get out
your yearbook and look for me :)!) please e-mail me! I know it sounds
silly but it is so very important to me since it's been so long. I
miss being home and I would love to hear from those I went to school
with!

I'm currently working for Shell, posted in The Netherlands and living in
Amsterdam (nice!), although I'll be posted to God-knows-where in the

I have the face I did in Ms. Patmore's ceramics class.
I actually have him eyebrows and the colors are mostly
yellow -&- brown, we must not have many colors to choose
from! I remember the MALE school teacher and the portables.
It was the 6th grade female teacher that I have to thank
for getting me to ENJOY reading. If you recall she would
have you memorize spelling words and then hold a contest
in class to see who remembered the most. Remember the
brand new blue colored formica topped desks we received
that year. I don't think any dared graffeti them. I
received an Email from Eric Hill, but STILL haven't responded.
Will before next month. I celebrate #51 on the 6th of
August -- don't feel it, don't look it and don't act it

brother Thirapongse, better known as "T", DHA class of 90, he says hello
to everyone that remembers him. I will be in Texas for the reunion this

Hope and praying to Allah SWT for all you brothers with the best of
health and Iman. We are all fine here and by the grace of Allah SWT
busy in Dawah activities. Kindly let me tell you some of our activities
last and this month. In golden week holidays we have arranged a Mothers
-&- Children camp at our newly bought Dar Al-Arqam Mosque in Asakusa,
Taito-ku, Tokyo. The program was specially prepared for the Japanese
muslim mothers and their children to introduce them briefly about the
daily life of a muslim. Our guest was Sister Habiba (Khaola) Nakata.
There were speeches about the Understanding of Islam; practicing
Reading of Quran, How to pray; Islamic Etiquiets cards game for
children and so on. The camp was help from 2nd May~4th May 1999. The
detailed report is already published in Sr. Nakata's Japan Muslim News.
At the same time we have arranged a camp on an Icland in Kanagawa-ken
