Thought I'd post here since I attended in the 60's.

I've been living in Baton Rouge, LA since I left SA. Graduated from BRHS in '74. Attended LSU and got a AD in drafting and design. I worked for various engineering outfits in the Baton Rouge area. Mainly doing work for the Exxon refinery and various other chem plants here.

I was SCUBA certified in '79. Rig diving in the Gulf of Mexico mostly.
I also got heavily addicted to snow skiing thru a close friend. I have been to just about every ski resort in Colorado and a few in Utah.

In '83 I had the opportunity to work in Jamaica at AlPart (Aluminum Partners of Jamaica) in Mandeville. That was a blast. Ire mon!
I got married in '88. Honeymoon at Eagles Nest Lodge on Heavenly Mt., Lake Tahoe. Our 20th anniversary is coming up!

Our only child, a daughter, was born in 1990 and has pretty much been the focus of our lives. Our vacations revolve around our daughter's love of dance. She has won numerous regional as well as national events. She is now a senior at my old alma mater and is an honors student. Thank God she didn't take after me in that regard.

Hi John,

This is Willi Calkins (now Willow Bascom). I was in Ras Tanura from 1st grade to the beginning of 7th grade when my family left for Panama. I was trying to figure out what class I was in when I spotted your post and recognize every name in it!

I've known about Aramco Brats since college when I ran into a couple friends from Ras Tanura - Moy Taylor and Ricky Besser.

I remember great science classes with Mr. Martin and art with Miss Johnston.
Going to the movies - Goldfinger and Beach Blanket Bingo stand out. Going swimming in the pool that overlooked the Persian Gulf. Walking on the beach and getting tar on my feet.
