Ok. I'll be the first to post the classic:
STUFFED CAMEL
1 medium camel
4 lambs
20 chickens (roasted)
150 eggs (boiled)
40 kilos tomatoes
Salt and seasonings to taste
Stuff eggs into tomatoes
Stuff tomatoes into chickens
Stuff chickens into lambs
Stuff lambs into camel
Roast until tender
Serves about 150 |

I have to say, of all the time I spent in Saudi, I don't think I've ever been offered camel. Not that I would've said no... _________________ RT '91

I remember a time my sister and I went to Al-Khobar. We decided
we would stop for lunch at some tiny little juice bar, where they also served
burgers. Well, I knew after the first bite that there was no way it was a beef
burger! I jokingly said to my sister that "it must be camel" only to find out
it was once the waiter confirmed it.
I went through a large can of lemon drops on the 1 hr. ride
home. No amount of lemon drops could take the taste away. I'm happy to say, I don't care for Camel. _________________ Doris "D" Mayer

What I was thinking when I read the post was if camel recipes are offered in Saudi. Is it specialty or what. Until I have seen the number of votes the NO had and how the thread went. But still you can see that there's still recipe out of camel huh. I won't plan to eat camel ever. _________________ Dpoole
